Franklin County Security Center
The Franklin County Security Center is the local jail facility identified in the sheriff's inmate mail and commissary pages. Official sources did not locate a jail capacity figure, so capacity should not be stated. The sheriff department is open 365 days a year, seven days a week, 24 hours a day, with front-office hours listed for weekday public contact.
The same 371 Main Street address appears across sheriff, jail, mail, commissary, and contact materials. That makes it the correct location for jail custody questions, mail addressing, bond logistics, and front-office contact. It is separate from the courthouse at 459 Main Street, where the Circuit Court, clerk, and prosecutor handle court records and filings.

Franklin County Booking and Bond
Franklin County's arrests and bonds page says cash/surety bonds may be made for Level 3 and Level 4 felonies through a bondsman. For all other bondable offenses, cash-only bonds must be made to the Franklin County Security Center according to the schedule. The sheriff page also notes time/hour holds. Incarcerated subjects have an 8-hour hold for drug-related offenses, and subjects charged with operating while intoxicated are not released until their blood or breath alcohol level is .00.
A jail bond entry does not prove final guilt. It is a custody and appearance mechanism. The formal charge, status, plea, and disposition belong in the Franklin Circuit Court case record, and MyCase should be checked when a court record is needed.

Incoming inmate mail must be addressed to the inmate's full name at Franklin County Security Center, 371 Main Street, Brookville, IN 47012.
